This is a great little book. I particularly like the very moving letter from John Burnett. It amazes me that Andy Jackson is still considered to have been a good president. The information in this book reveals him for what he was--a racist. As much as I like the book, though, I cannot give it to the children in my life because of the extensive use of the "generic he/him/his." In the next printing, it would be great if the word "people" and other alternatives were used where the author really means "people" and does not mean "exclusively men."
